I thoroughly enjoy capturing large families. I especially love when grandparents get their children and grand kids together. Multiple generations and their multi faceted personalities always make for an amusing and unique session...and crazy fun! And the photos...precious and priceless. I can't imagine one day doing a portrait session with my girls and their families. Photos really do mean everything. Capturing our lives and legacies.
McCormick Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale is not only a great place to take your kids, but a fabulous location for portraits. I recommend early mornings here, before the rides open and we have the place all to ourselves.
Sometimes we can accomplish a lot with a Basic Session. As long as baby is asleep, the kids are happy, the house is warm, the light is right, the setting inspiring...
The Basic Session is one hour of session time and choice of ten digital files.
Teenagers and their adoring mommies. Over the years I have found some commonalities between them all. Moms can't help but love their babies, teens can't help being annoyed by them. This mom's choice of t-shirt inspired some really funny crazy shenanigans. The girls were so awesome in following suggestions and direction...so many laughs, and lots of eye rolling, too. I hope to do something like this with my girls someday. Fingers crossed that they don't grow into teens, though.
Loved this session at the Valley Ho. Beds are perfect for babies that are not yet walking, but are strong enough to to lift their heads and upper bodies. The 6-9 month period is an ideal time for these. I don't think that we have to go anywhere but a well lit bedroom - of course the suite that I photographed these in was a perfect setting.
